In My Mind is an intriguing fragrance that is nothing less than a journey into the perfumer's mind. The scent is complex, and it takes several wearings to understand exactly what it truly is.

The opening of the fragrance is powerful and intrusive. The fruity, slightly tart scent of green apple and grapefruit grabs us and pulls us into the depths, as this is only the introduction to the perfume, with a long journey ahead for the wearer that will last for quite some time. The opening of the perfume is just a taste, and the true adventure is only just beginning.

As we travel deeper into the mind, thoughts emerge and ideas begin to blur together. The metallic and warm spicy scent of saffron begins to make its presence felt; it doesn't fit the fragrance perfectly, yet for some reason, it is completely appropriate and holds its own. Rose also joins the adventure, adding a slight lightness to the scent and allowing it to breathe a little.


And at the end of the journey, notes join in that might seem familiar, yet somehow they do not appear in the usual way. A combination of vanilla, sandalwood, and musk follows, which in theory would produce a soft, creamy, and warm scent together, but here it does not. The sensation is entirely different. It is dry and cool, yet it tries to break through with warm creaminess from underneath. Like going back to a sauna from a plunge pool. Perhaps that is the best description of the end of the scent: the dryness of a spa sauna that the humid air is trying to dampen.

It is certainly a unique fragrance that is hard to explain, but impossible to forget.

Aging:
4 weeks in 100% oil form · 2 weeks in alcohol form

All perfume oils are aged for 3 weeks as 100% oil, and then for another 2 weeks in a diluted state.

Vanilla

Origin: Fermented fruit of the Madagascan orchid — tropical slowness, manual labor, patience.
In the formula: Warms, rounds, softens. Not a candy — but the balsamic, final layer of the formula that binds everything together.

Saffron

Origin: The world's most expensively harvested spice — hand-picked, bloom by bloom, from Iran and Kashmir. Metallic, spicy, almost leathery.
In the formula: Sharp, aristocratic heart note. In oriental formulas, it adds a layer of complexity that no other note can replicate.

Sandalwood

Origin: Mysore, India — the original, CITES-protected variety. Creamy, milky, skin-warm. A tree that grows for decades before it is ready for processing.
In the formula: It smoothes and binds. It carries other materials and unifies them — the binder of the formula, which is never intrusive.

Ambergris

Origin: Not a single ingredient — but a constructed depth. An interplay of resins, labdanum, benzoin, vanilla, and balsamic elements. The amber accord is one of the oldest and most defining compositions in perfumery.
In the formula: A warm, resinous, oriental base layer — the backbone of oriental formulas. Not a note, but a feeling: dense, golden, timeless.

Rose

Origin: The oldest and most misunderstood ingredient in perfumery. It does not come from a flower garden—but from a silent, dawn harvest, gathered by hand.
In the formula: Not a decoration. Here, the rose creates tension—standing on the boundary between difficulty and beauty.

An out-of-body experience

Chaos, but not really. Fruits start the perfume, and you can't decide if you like it or not. But soon you will be able to, as its heart completely turns it on its head. Saffron and rose. Spicy, warm, metallic, and a little ozonic too. This will be the decider of whether you can wear it. The base of the perfume is different again. Creamy sandalwood, sweet-sugary vanilla, and warm musk conclude the adventure.
