The Fall of Icarus is the most difficult fragrance from Sorvé to embrace, as this scent was inspired by one of the stories of Greek mythology, the fall of Icarus.
The opening symbolizes the bright future that Icarus pursued towards the sun. We feel the perfect balance of soft Turkish rose, juicy and sufficiently sweet peach, and cinnamon. Literally, everything you could want is there: florality, fruitiness, and that little pinch of spice that is always needed. But the structure quickly collapses and Icarus begins to fall.
In the heart of the perfume, that is, during the fall, the perfume completely turns on its head. Dry and smoky tobacco, which almost gives the sensation of a lit cigarette, emerges and overwhelms everything. It doesn't do this alone, as Indonesian patchouli and Omani frankincense only encourage and strengthen it. And Icarus can do nothing, he cannot stop it.
After Icarus lands and the fall is over, the final layer emerges. Animalic Cambodian and Thai oud break through, which is then further crushed into the ground by the leathery and smoky scent of castoreum. As an addition, if this weren't enough, opoponax also appears, bringing with it a deep, smoky, and slightly sweet scent, with a hint of vanilla, which is not at all sweet, but merely the breath that closes Icarus's eyes.
